Enjoy a blissful time canoeing down the untouched nature of the Kushiro River. Feel the breeze of the marsh and hear the chirping of the birds and the gentle sound of the water. Tour guides will be there to safely guide you so you can let them lead the way.

Take a leisurely ride along the flow of the Kushiro River, and enjoy a unique, close encounter with nature.

Make sure to prepare well and do a safety check. Beginners need not worry as a guide will be there to help you.
Paddle downstream with the gentle flow of the Kushiro River. Keep an eye out for wild birds and other animals as you move forward.
Sidle your canoe to the riverbank and take a break. Enjoy some homemade cookies and a special blend of coffee while in the midst of nature.
Your guide will explain to you the flora and fauna of the place. You may catch a glimpse of large rainbow trouts in the water.
You may hear the sound of a spring gushing out into the river. You will be overwhelmed by the mystical scenes surrounding you.

Fountainhead Course

The clear waters of Lake Kussharo will show you the flurry of fish, the red and white gravel of the riverbed, and the fallen trees that have been submerged for many years. You can also enjoy the sight of untouched, natural river springs.
Midstream Course

You will start from Lake Toro or nearby and head into the Kushiro Marsh. If you’re lucky, you may encounter some of the wild animals in the area, such as Japanese cranes, Ezo deer, or white-tailed eagles.
Downstream Course

You will start near the Hosooka Observatory and go downstream where the river gets wider and the flow is gentler. The course will take you on a ride through the vast Kushiro Marsh.
